Who We Are

Mrs. Betty Williams-Yancey is a Dudley Products® trained and certified cosmetologist with 29 years of corporate experience. Ms. Williams-Yancey previously held a cosmetology license in California and Kentucky and is currently in North Carolina. Betty enjoys educating her customers on the principles of growing and maintaining healthy hair. Additionally, Betty travels across the United States to facilitate and participate in Dudley Products® sponsored hair shows and other events. These national events give Betty opportunities to further her skills and publicly display new techniques and fashion industry trends. 

Mrs. Williams-Yancey has an ingrained sense of creativity and style. She counsels her clients on the importance of building a solid personal image that includes hair fundamentals and make-up basics. Although she has received extensive training, including advanced haircutting techniques and make-up artistry, her specialty is treating non-hereditary baldness and other issues associated with damaged hair.

Mrs. Williams enjoys being active in the community and takes the time to volunteer with one of her favorite causes, the YMCA Big Brother/Big Sister Program (Greater Raleigh Chapter). This program has helped several young girls get the remedial education they needed through mentoring and financial support. As a result, Betty has become a very influential part of her “little sisters” lives. In 2005, Mrs. Williams-Yancey became a foster parent to three beautiful children with Wake County Human Services, North Carolina. Her goal is to provide a stable home environment, encourage moral values and inspire every child to achieve academic excellence. 

Mrs. Williams-Yancey currently manages her salon, A Touch of Ambiance Hair Design, in Morrisville, North Carolina. For most of her career, she has dreamed of owning a full-service Day Spa designed to indulge the senses of even the most discriminating client. She has 13 years of additional education from Dudley’s Cosmetology Institution. She ultimately achieved her master’s certification in leadership, platform artistry, and make-up and is an advanced training instructor. In May 2004, Betty received her Bachelor of Science in Business Organizational Management at St. Augustine College in Raleigh, North Carolina. In 2008, Betty earned her Graduate Degree in Business Administration at Strayer University in Raleigh, North Carolina. In addition, in 2010, Betty Williams-Yancey received a Graduate Degree of Master of Education at Strayer University in Raleigh, North Carolina. Although managing a salon full-time is challenging, it is a rewarding opportunity for her. Betty has strong administrative skills such as bookkeeping, inventory management, organizational skills, promotional services on social media, customer service management for requests and complaints, and transaction monitoring which are critical to her being a well-rounded entrepreneur. To her credit, Betty has been associated with several well-known hair salons including, Studio Piraino and Sola Salon Studios in North Carolina, High Roller’s Hair Salon, Sophisticated Lady, and Alfonso’s Hair International in San Diego, California.

Further community endeavors that she looks forward to advocating for including The March of Dimes Look Good to Feel Better Program, The Make A Wish Foundation, and offer free haircuts to patients with the Hospice of Wake County. In previous years, Betty was the exclusive hairstylist for various Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Debutantes San Diego chapters, the on-site cosmetologist and make-up artist for Black Issues Forum, a local PBS program, and Spiritual Awakening for WRAL (Channel 5) News Broadcasting Station.
