Ms. Williams is Dudley Products trained and is a certified cosmetologist with more than 25 years of hair stylist experience. Betty enjoys educating her customers on the principles of growing and maintaining healthy hair. Betty facilitates and participates in hair seminars sponsored by Dudley Products and various other events.
Betty has an ingrained sense of creativity and style. She counsels her clients on the importance of building a solid personal image that includes hair fundamentals and makeup basics. Although she has received extensive training that includes advanced haircutting, microiblading eyebrow tattooing, eyelash extension, keratin hair-straightening treatment, custom coloring techniques, hair
weaving extension, natural twisting, thermal hair pressing, and custom hair conditioner treatment, her specialty is treating non-hereditary baldness and other damaged hair issues that face customers from the African American community.

Betty has managed her beauty salon, A-Touch of Ambiance Inc. in Morrisville, North Carolina for 24 years. In 2010, Betty received a Master of Business Administration at Strayer University in Raleigh, North Carolina. In 2004, Betty received a Bachelor of Science in Business Management at St Augustine College in Raleigh, North Carolina. She has 13 years of additional education from the Dudley Cosmetology University and ultimately achieved her Master’s Certification. In 2010, Betty started a Master of Education and Technology degree at Strayer University in Raleigh, North Carolina, and will complete her degree program in the spring of 2011. Betty successfully completed a training program for certification as a National State Board of Cosmetology and Barbering Examiner. By 2012, Betty plans to achieve her goal of receiving her North Carolina Cosmetology Instructor License. Ms. Williams feels that managing a beauty salon full-time can be a challenge, but ultimately believes it is a rewarding opportunity. Betty’s administrative skills, like record keeping, and innovative marketing/inventory management are critical to her being a well-rounded entrepreneur. To her credit, Betty has been associated with several well-known hair salons including Studio Piraino, Robert Taylor’s Hair Designs, Sophisticated Lady and Artistry-N-Motion.
Betty enjoys being active in the community and volunteers her time to one of her favorite causes: the YMCA Big Brother/ Big Sister Program (Greater Raleigh Chapter). This program has helped Betty’s “little sister” get the remedial education that she needed through Betty’s support. Betty has become a very influential part in her “little sister’s” life. Other causes that Betty champions for include The March of Dimes, The American Cancer Society “Look Good…Feel Good” program, North Carolina Hospices, and The Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina. In previous years, Betty was the exclusive hairstylist for the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Debutantes-San Diego Chapter and was the on-site cosmetologist for Black Issues Forum, a local PBS program.
Currently, Ms. Williams holds cosmetology licenses in North Carolina and California.
